In celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the introduction of Tucker prototype on June 19, 1947, Tucker 1004 joined the Tucker Tin Goose over the weekend at the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA.

The Tucker Tin Goose and Tucker 1044 have been linked together for 69 years:

Scott Rifkin of Schaumberg, Illinois, the original private owner of the Tin Goose, purchased Tucker 1044 and the Tucker Tin Goose at the the October 1950 Chicago auction.  In the 1970s, Les Sheaffer of Harrisburg, PA owned both Tucker 1044 and the Tucker Tin Goose. The two Tuckers were also together at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

I have to admit to being a bit bewildered.  Perhaps it’s been covered in detail already but just how much of the Tin Goose was left to restore, please?  From what I saw, it appeared that the body was a complete re-creation.  What about the chassis?  That transverse spring end bolt looks pretty ramshackle (bad pun).  Sam, III
